Babywearing Educator Training (Level 1)

This two-day workshop is designed to provide professionals working with families, retailers, manufacturers and babywearing enthusiasts with the information and skills required to safely advocate for babywearing in their practice.

‚ÄčThis course will prepare you to work with general population families only.

The Focus:

  • Arrow Circle Right
    Understanding the advantages and limitations of the different styles of baby carriers ( stretch and woven wraps, ring slings, Meh Dai, and buckle carriers)
  • Arrow Circle Right
    How babywearing can facilitate the transition to the many facets of parenthood
  • Arrow Circle Right
    Safe carrier usage
  • Arrow Circle Right
    Safe movement with use
  • Arrow Circle Right
    Current babywearing industry issues, regulations, standards and climate
  • Arrow Circle Right
    Working collaboratively within the industry and pricing considerations
  • Special situations such as premies, caesarean sections, multiples, and accessibility needs within a family situation
  • Open question forum at the end of the training for additional related topics
  • No prerequisites

*Please note that at the completion of the training you will receive the following:

  • Certificate of Completion
  • Reference Manual from the course teachings
  • Access to the CBS Educator Facebook group for networking, questions etc
  • Access to further tools and membership options
  • This course is 16 hours in length

We believe strongly in the parent/infant stage and we welcome your baby to join you in class. The hands on nature of this course does make it difficult to complete with older child so we ask that you kindly do not bring them. If you are bringing an infant with you, please let us know upon registration.
